cindy brandle
Cindy Brandle is the Artistic Director of the Cindy Brandle Dance Company, which formed in September 2004. For nearly 10 years Cindy danced for the Chicago Moving Company and served as Co-Artistic Director for five of those years. Since moving to Chicago in 1994 Cindy has been awarded two scholarships from the Dance Center of Columbia College as both a performer and choreographer. In 1999 and 2006 Cindy received fellowships for choreography from the Illinois Arts Council as a finalist. Her work has been presented at Dance Chicago, The Storefront Theatre, Harold Washington Library, The Dance Center of Columbia College, throughout Illinois, the Midwest and internationally in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador, Brazil. In November of 2001, Cindy’s dance “Duplicate” was presented in the XXII INBA/UAM Choreographic Festival in Mexico City. Her dances have been produced for three years in Chicago’s NEXT Dance Festival and participated in Estrogen Fest in 2001/03/05/07. Cindy’s work has been produced for two years as a part of Spectrum Dance Festival and has been produced for 5 years in The Other Dance Festival. She continues to teach advanced modern technique and community workshops at Hamlin Park has led successful performances and workshops in Chicago and Telluride, Colorado. Cindy is an "Artist in residence" with the Chicago Moving Company. She lives with her beautiful family, Ashay and Akasha. Ms. Brandle is also an emerging singer/songwriter who can often be heard playing around clubs in Chicago. Check out www.myspace.com/cindybrandlemusic
adriana marcial
Adriana is from Port Angeles, WA and a graduate of Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and Dance. At Northwestern she studied with Laura Wade, Molly Shanahan, Jeff Hancock, Joseph Mills, and Jan Bartoszek, and had the opportunity to perform some of their original choreography, as well as have her own work presented. She has also studied with David Parsons Dance Company and had the privilege of working with Seattle based choreographer Pat Graney. In Chicago, she currently dances for Mordine & Company Dance Theater, and teaches for The School of Performing Arts and Old St. Mary's School. She is also a contributor for the onilne travel resource NileGuide. This is her second season with Cindy Brandle Dance Company
karla beltchenko
Karla began her early training at Dancecenter North in Libertyville, IL. She continued her training at The Interlochen Center for the Arts, and the American Dance Festivalin Durham, North Carolina. Karla graduated from Western Illinois Universitywhere she received her Bachelors of Social Work . While at WIU Karla was an active participant in the University Dance Theatre. Karla’s recent dance credits include Nicole Gifford Dance, Against The Grain Dance Project, and Inaside Chicago Dance. Karla also continues to create, perform, collaborate, and explore her own dance works and choreography. This is Karla's second season with CBDC.

Michelle Scurlock, originally from St. Charles, IL, graduated with honors with a BFA in dance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. While at the University, Michelle was privileged to work with choreographers Linda Lehovec, Erika Randall, Denise Posnak, Angela Miller, Cynthia Oliver, and Germaul Barnes. One of her most notable performances was Bill T. Jones’ 1994 MacArthur Genius Award winning work, D-Man in the Waters. Michelle has also performed in New York City with The Movement Collective. Her choreography has been showcased at the University of Illinois, in addition to Freespace, a summer annual non-for profit performance held in St. Charles, IL. She has taught a variety of dance technique for all ages at an assortment of dance schools in the Chicago area for the past five years. Michelle is excited for her first season with CBDC!
jessie young
Jessie Young received her BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. She has danced professionally with Nortwest Dance Syndrome, 024Dance, Kelly Sullivan/Human Movement Projects, as a guest dancer with Keith Johnson/Dancers, David Dorfman Dance and is also a member of Chicago's The Space/Movement Project, Dim Sum Dance and The Moving Architects.
